meet CLAIRE MILLER

STUDIO OWNER, CERTIFIED MOVEMENT EDUCATOR

For more than 30 years, Claire Miller, founder of New Found Movement, has been helping people reconnect with their bodies, move with confidence, and live with less pain.

Claire believes movement should be accessible, empowering, and effective at every stage of life. Her philosophy is simple: when you understand how your body truly works, you can move more efficiently, prevent injury, and feel better in your everyday life.
Movement is medicine.

Her expertise and results have earned the trust of the healthcare community, with regular referrals from chiropractors, physicians, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and naturopaths.

Claire’s journey into movement education began during her post-secondary studies in Dance Teacher Training and modern dance at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre. While immersed in dance, she became fascinated not just by movement itself, but by how the body moves—and why. That curiosity—combined with her own experience of chronic pain following five car accidents—sparked a lifelong pursuit of understanding human biomechanics and functional movement.

Over the years, Claire has completed an extensive range of certifications, including Pilates (mat and equipment), Hatha Yoga, Zumba, Yoga Tune Up®, and The Roll Model Method®. She is now a Fully Certified Tune Up Fitness® Instructor and a Level 1 & 2 BoneFit® Trained Instructor, bringing a highly informed, evidence-based approach to every class.

What truly sets Claire apart is her ability to see and address movement patterns others might miss. Her students often say she has “x-ray eyes.” Through careful observation and thoughtful guidance, she helps each person better understand their body and develop healthier, pain-free movement habits.

At New Found Movement, classes are never one-size-fits-all. Claire meets you where you are—whether you’re recovering from injury, managing pain or stiffness, or simply wanting to stay strong and mobile as you age. Her classes are known for being supportive, educational, and energizing, creating a safe space where you can challenge yourself and truly progress.

Her passion is matched by genuine care for every student who walks through the door. Claire believes that everyone deserves to feel strong, capable, and comfortable in their body—and she is dedicated to helping you achieve exactly that.

In addition, Claire has developed Movement to Music functional fitness dance programs at Kenny’s Pond, Tiffany Village, and Bishop’s Gardens Retirement Communities, where participants have ranged in age from 8 to 103—a true reflection of her belief that movement for health is for everyone.

Claire teaches with “infectious enthusiasm” and is thrilled that there is always more to learn!

Join Claire at New Found Movement and discover how personalized, mindful movement can transform the way your body feels—every single day.
